Wheelchair Rugby

Wheelchair Rugby is where power, strategy, and determination collide. Known for its intensity and full-contact action, the sport combines speed, teamwork, and physical strength in one of the most dynamic competitions in Para sport.

Played indoors on a court, teams of four athletes compete to carry the ball across the opponent’s try line to score points. Both men and women compete together, with athletes classified into different sport classes to ensure fair and balanced competition. Matches are played over four fast-paced eight-minute quarters, delivering constant action and electrifying moments from start to finish.

Since making its Paralympic debut at the 2000 Paralympics, Wheelchair Rugby has continued to captivate audiences worldwide, showcasing fearless athletes who push boundaries and redefine what is possible in sport.
