Applicability
These house rules apply to anyone visiting an EPC-event venue between 8 and 20 August 2023 in Rotterdam or any other city in the Netherlands.
General
Always follow the instructions of the personnel appointed by the EPC organization. In situations where this regulation does not provide, the organization or the persons appointed by the organization decides.
Access to the European Para Championships
Access to a location of the EPC2023-event is only possible upon presentation of a valid access pass or other authorization issued by the organization. Authorizations issued by the EPC2023 are not transferable. Upon request of persons designated by the organization of the EPC, everyone must be able to show that they have a valid access pass or other authorization.
It is forbidden to stay in or to go to another part of the EPC2023 site other than the part to which one is entitled.
Visitors who leave the EPC2023 site will generally not be granted access again to the site.
Everyone on the site must be able to legitimize themselves.
For visiting the event, the EPC2023 does not set a minimum age, however, for visitors aged 16 or younger it is required that they be accompanied by an adult.
It is not allowed for visitors under 18 years of age to buy and/or consume alcohol on the EPC premises. Furthermore, it is not permitted for visitors aged 18 and over to give alcohol to visitors under 18. In case of violation, immediate removal from the premises will follow. Upon request from bar staff, security, or other authorized personnel, ID proof needs to be shown to establish the age.
Smoking is only allowed in the open air on the EPC2023 premises. Smoking is not permitted in buildings, tents and/or under coverings. It is not possible to buy tobacco or cigarettes at this event.
The individuals designated by the EPC2023 organization have the right to check anyone who wishes to access or is on the premises.
Checks are carried out through search and private superficial security screening (P.O.V.). The implementation of search/P.O.V. at the EPC2023 takes place at the entrance and exit control of the premises when necessary. For the EPC, we understand searching to be the inspection of bags, backpacks and anything that is being carried.
A P.O.V. is the superficial examination of clothing, pockets and possibly shoes. Visitors may be asked to cooperate with the above checks. This is not mandatory, but if the visitor does not cooperate, access to the EPC will not be granted.
Legally prohibited items will be handed over to the police and unauthorized items that appear on the list below will be destroyed.
The following items are not allowed to be taken inside:
- Food and drink;
- Dangerous objects, including (self-defense) weapons such as pepper spray and smurfenspray, knives, glass and/or cans (e.g. perfume and deodorant);
- (Soft/hard) drugs and alcohol;
- Toxic, flammable or explosive materials, fireworks;
- Skates, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, etc.;
- (House) pets;
- Professional photo and video and audio recording equipment and so-called selfie sticks;
- Benches, folding chairs (or any kind of chairs, except backpack chairs);
- Bags larger than A4 size;
- Laughing gas;
- Umbrellas;
and all other items which, in the sole discretion of the organizer of the EPC2023 and the persons appointed by the organizer of the EPC2023, may pose a danger to health, safety and public order.
Upon the discovery of legally prohibited items, access to the EPC2023 will be denied and upon the discovery of unauthorized items, access to the EPC2023 may be denied without any claim to compensation for damage. Should you have any doubts, always contact the organization.
Expressing (religious or political) convictions, holding demonstrations or wearing football or motorcycle club insignia is not allowed;
Advertising, conducting public surveys, counts, collections and offering goods and services on the premises of the EPC is not allowed unless written permission from the organization has been obtained.
The organization of the EPC2023 reserves the right to deny access to the EPC2023 to visitors without giving any reason, without them having the right to claim compensation for damage.
Recording
The EPC2023 primarily processes Personal Data on the basis of consent and/or the performance of the agreement, or a legitimate interest. The EPC has a legitimate interest in processing your Personal Data by means of camera surveillance and recording of image material for commercial or security purposes. Surveillance by camera has the purpose of ensuring your safety as a visitor. As a visitor, you are informed of such processing when entering the EPC premises by means of the House Rules www.ahoy.nl/houserules.
Calamities
Everyone on an EPC2023 site must be aware of the escape routes to be used in case of a calamity. The use of any lifts in the event of a calamity is prohibited.
The organization of the EPC2023 is entitled to evacuate the site if, in its opinion, there is cause to do so.
No compensation
Visiting the EPC2023 is done entirely at your own risk. The organization does not accept any liability for any damage, for whatever reason.
Denial of access and removal
The people designated by the organization of the EPC2023 are always authorized to deny access to persons who do not comply with the house rules, or who behave disturbingly or annoyingly in any other way, or to remove them from the premises. Reported criminal offenses will always be reported to the police.
The people designated by the organization of the EPC2023 are authorized to carry out an arrest in such cases and to hand over the person(s) to the police.
Change
The EPC2023 reserves the right to make changes to these house rules. Visitors are encouraged to study the EPC2023 house rules regularly for changes.
