There is much more to experience than just the best of European sports during the #EPC2023. Throughout the city and in and around Rotterdam Ahoy, all kinds of fun and inspiring activities will be organized in collaboration with various partners.

OPENING CEREMONY

OPENING CEREMONY

On the eve of the first European Para Championships, Monday 7 August, the Opening Ceremony will take place between 20:00 – 21:00 in Rotterdam Ahoy. Do you want to attend?

PLAZA AHOY

In the Plaza of Rotterdam Ahoy, you will find various fun activities throughout the event that will make your visit to EPC2023 even more special. There are two sports plazas where you can participate in various clinics, you will find a Holobox from T-Mobile, check out the unique Vicair EPC2023 wheelchair cushion covers, go to the inspiring Uniek Sporten House for all information on sports with disabilities, step into the digital world with the House of Esports, buy your souvenir at the Merchandise booth, take a picture with our Instagram frame and enjoy the catering during all the games.

BLIND GRANDSTAND

In cooperation with the Oogvereniging and Visio, we will have a special blind grandstand with commentators for several days.


  • August 12: Wheelchair Basketball & Goalball
  • August 19: Wheelchair Basketball & Para Badminton
  • August 20: Para Badminton & Para Shooting Sport

AHOY SQUARE

On the square in front of Ahoy between August 14 and 18 is the Nederlandse Loterij Contrainer. There will also be a frame-running clinic here on August 15. Come watch and get moving!

ZUIDERPARK

Several clinics will be organized at the Feyenoord HUB in the Zuiderpark between August 14-16. In cooperation with Sportbedrijf Rotterdam you can participate in the following activities:


  • August 14 (14:00 – 18:00): Basketball & Wheelchair Basketball clinics
  • August 15 (13:00 – 17:00): FIFA tournament & Wheelchair race track
  • August 16 (4:00 – 7:00 p.m.): Padel tournament & Wheelchair tennis clinic
