The transportation of athletes, staff, suppliers and visitors is an important issue. We are taking various measures to reduce our footprint and as a visitor you can also contribute to this! How does it work?
Take the public transportation to Rotterdam Ahoy! Think about the train, bus, metro or even the OV-fiets. Plan your trip via RET.nl, NS.nl or 9292.nl. Bus and metro station Zuidplein is right in front of Rotterdam Ahoy, just a few minutes walk away. Show your public transportation ticket at our information desk and score your voucher for a cup of tea or coffee! No public transportation ticket at hand? Then take a selfie on the special EPC station stairs at Zuidplein station and show it to our staff. Be sure to share the photo on social media with hashtag #EPC2023 and inspire more people to travel to the EPC 2023 by public transport!
Accessibility
The various sports venues of the EPC are easily accessible by public transportation. Rotterdam Ahoy is easily accessible by bus, metro and train. From bus and metro station Zuidplein you can walk to Ahoy in less than 5 minutes. This stop is wheelchair accessible and can be reached by RET metro lines D & E and RET bus lines 44, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 72, 75, 76, 82, 84, 142, 143, 144, 146, 183, 187, 283, 290 and 668. The other sports venues are also easily accessible by public transportation. Kop van Zuid is accessible from metro station Wilhelminaplein (accessible by RET metro lines D & E) and Schouwburgplein is just a 5-minute walk from Rotterdam Central Station.
