The City Centre Court Scheepvaartkwartier was the scene today for the first day of Para Cycling. On the Westerkade, they competed for the Mixed Team Relay title. After two intensive qualifying rounds, France, Italy (2),the Netherlands, Italy (1), Germany and Switzerland (2) qualified for the finals.
At 19:45 the starting gun sounded and all 6 countries were ready to show their best. Along the unique course, France eventually walked away with the win. The silver was for Italy (1) and the bronze went to Germany. They received, with the Erasmus Bridge in the background, their medals.
