Blind Football is where teamwork, trust, and determination come together on the ultimate stage. Governed by the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) and played under modified FIFA rules, the sport delivers a fast-paced and highly tactical experience where communication, focus, and precision are essential.
Teams consist of four blind or visually impaired outfield players and one sighted or partially sighted goalkeeper. To ensure fair competition, all outfield players wear eyeshades, while the ball contains an internal sound system that helps players orientate themselves on the pitch. Matches are played on a 40 x 20 metre field surrounded by kickboards, creating a dynamic and intense style of play.
With spectators remaining silent during the match, every sound becomes part of the game, creating an electrifying atmosphere where world-class athletes push boundaries and inspire the next generation of sport fans.
