Wheelchair Basketball 3×3 is a fast-paced and exciting adaptation of traditional wheelchair basketball. Played on a half-court with three players per team, the game emphasizes speed, skill, teamwork and quick decision-making.
Matches are played over a single 10-minute period, with teams having just 12 seconds to attempt a shot after gaining possession. Shots inside the arc are worth one point, while shots from outside the arc are worth two points.
Athletes are classified based on their physical abilities, with classifications ranging from 1.0 to 4.5 points. The combined classification value of the three players on court may not exceed 8.5 points, ensuring fair competition.
Fast, tactical and highly competitive, Wheelchair Basketball 3×3 is one of the newest and most dynamic sports on the European Para Championships programme.
